Calculation disclaimer

Use estimates as a planning aid

Wattwise makes assumptions visible, but a transparent estimate is still not a meter reading, utility bill, safety inspection, or professional opinion.

Why actual use varies

Power draw changes with appliance model, age, condition, voltage, settings, load, standby behaviour, ambient temperature, thermostat cycling, and household habits. A label value or typical preset may not match a particular appliance.

Why actual bills vary

Tariffs, slabs, time-of-use periods, taxes, fuel adjustments, duties, fixed charges, subsidies, minimum bills, and billing periods can change. A calculator result may exclude some of these items unless they have been entered explicitly.

Important decisions

Verify material purchasing, budgeting, electrical, or safety decisions with the appliance documentation, a current utility tariff, a suitable meter, and a qualified professional where appropriate. Wattwise is not an electricity supplier and does not provide electrical, engineering, legal, tax, or financial advice.
