Writing and review
Calculator explanations are written around the actual model implemented in the code. Formula, unit, tariff, confidence, and limitation changes are reviewed together. Review dates change only after a substantive verification or edit.
Automated and AI-assisted drafting may support structure, code, or copy review, but it does not replace source verification, calculation tests, editorial judgement, or owner accountability.
Source selection
Official energy labels, government or regulator publications, current utility tariffs, manufacturer documentation, and representative measurements are preferred according to the field being estimated. Typical values are labelled and never presented as a brand-specific fact.
Commercial separation
Advertising does not change formulas, confidence, rankings, or recommendations. Adverts are labelled Advertisement. Sponsored or affiliate material must disclose the relationship near the relevant content and must not be described as an independent result.
Corrections
Material calculation, source, tariff, accessibility, or factual errors are corrected promptly after verification. Significant corrections should preserve an auditable note rather than silently rewriting historical calculation records.
