Separate viewing and standby
A television's power can change with screen size, brightness and picture mode. Use an on-mode label value or a session measurement for viewing. Add standby watts only for the hours the television is off but still connected.
Four hours on, twenty hours in standby
At an illustrative 110 W while on, four hours use 0.44 kWh. At 2 W in standby for the other twenty hours, standby adds 0.04 kWh. The total is 0.48 kWh for that day. Keeping those periods separate prevents counting more than 24 hours.
A streaming box, soundbar or game console is a different device. Add it separately if you want the cost of the whole viewing setup.

For the default inputs, Wattwise estimates $2.58 per month and 12.9 kWh at the global reference rate. The active formula is: average active power kW × operating hours × quantity, plus standby.
The displayed range widens when power, duty cycle, weather, or tariff data are estimates. It narrows when you provide measured energy, an official annual kWh value, or a per-cycle energy label. Fixed charges are not allocated to one appliance unless you explicitly create a household bill allocation.
